All Hallow's Eve

No trick-or-treating, but I did go to a "Light the Night" at the church. I won a number-of-candies-guessing contest tonight... I was one candy away. I guessed 52. There were 53- and they're all mine. ;D Mucho chocolate.

Wrote a different Horrible story... my first horror endeavor:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4627945/1/Horrible
Description:
Spoilers inside. Oneshot. Billy's night on October 31. Rated (ugh) "T" for horror themes.
Hope it goes over well.

Plus, the song "Monster [or Munster- modified TV show version] Mash" has been following me around lately. Saw the show for the first time on TV today, heard it while getting my hair cut, the puppets at the aforementioned church "party" lip-synced it...

:P

Yesterday my computer ate my new Doc Horrible angsty oneshot. Ugh. And I lost my new pen. I have another one just like it, but it's not the same- it's just a rebound pen. Man, I miss that pen; it had a rubber grip and everything. And I got a haircut that I'm not pleased with. Sheesh. My dark chocolate is nearly gone.

On the plus side, I did find a good-quality but cheap, black velvet, ominous cape at Walmart. I'm waiting until tomorrow to get it, though. Hopefully it'll be on sale. I hope they don't run out, but they had several in stock.

Freddy encounter and more

Not much to report on the guystead- he just bumped into me today... but it didn't seem like an accident. *shrugs*

Lots of work done today, so tonight I might reward myself by shopping for that cape.

Halloween (and my father's birthday) is tomorrow. Might go to a celebration at the Baptist church- not spooky, but free candy.

Elections soon

Towards the beginning of the month, I emailed something to both parties. An excerpt from my RS Net post on that day:

Emailed both the Obama and McCain websites. Unfortunately, I accidentally gave them the wrong email address. :-[ Oops...

Anyhoo, here's most of what I wrote (the Obama version) in a flurry of self-importance:

"...I question the campaign. Most politics like your own, actually. I understand (to an extent) power lust, and have a few questions. Why do you (or "does Obama", depending on who is reading this) want to be president? Is it for glory? Power? Fame? Monetary gain? Surely presidency does not assure these, as George W. Bush has now only, what is the number, a 17% approval rating? Circumstance can make you or break you, as evidenced by his time in office, and the stakes are high. Are you driven by an honest wish to better America, despite the political stereotype of fraud and manipulation? Could you not do more by heading a charity or movement?

"If you simply wish to take over the country, then, does brainwashing still work as well as it has in the past? I know that many will accept others' opinions as their own, if persuaded correctly. Hitler did it; why couldn't you? Especially with the added tools of advertising and television broadcasts!

"Or perhaps you have just a desire for personal gain, as is human nature. Perfectly understandable. Many supervillains have this as their only incentive.

"Make no mistake; I am not an undercover Republican seeking to undermine your goals through exaggeration or insults, if you consider the above offensive. I did not mean it so. I intend to send the same note to your adversary, if possible. For, in politics, where is there truth? Where is there unadulterated honesty and goodwill with not even a touch of greed or selfishness? I realize that for this email to reach Barack Obama himself, it must go through miles of red tape and many, many people in Senator Obama's campaign. It will, in all likelihood, never be read by him at all.

"It is just as well. How many insults, how many mindless pledges of allegiance will come through this website in the future? How many have, already? Assuredly, hundreds of thousands, even millions. Each as meaningless and not thought out as the next, products of advertising, re-education, and deceit. I say this because of the many promises made in any campaign, not as a personal attack. For we Americans rarely think things out, believing what we are told without question, or questioning the things that are purely truth. But is this a characteristic of Americans alone? Nay, of human nature.

"So, to whoever shall read this, whether it be a minimum-wage (or even volunteering) secretary, or the potential next president of the United States of America himself, my message is this: think. Why are you doing what you are doing? If you honestly believe in it, and know why you believe it, by all means, continue. But if you are a following sheep, be aware that you may in actuality be a lemming. If so, continue as well, if you wish. Make it easier for those who think for you.

"Resistance may be futile. Think at your own risk."

Same old, same old.

Bit tiring day today, so I consumed a hot chocolate and 10 squares of dark chocolate (admittedly, small squares) and felt a little better. The cold outside that I had to stand in didn't help matters much, either. :P

I'm still looking for a cheap but good-quality black villain cape... Hopefully there'll be some after Halloween, when the posers are quite through.

Help... not.

"Freddy" came by me today, as class was winding down and we could talk. He asked me if I wanted any help finishing the assignment. I smiled like my advisers advised but told him I was alright- no help needed. He then said he wouldn't have helped me anyway and stood there for a moment before chasing after a male friend.

He keeps sitting facing me with his legs apart. It creeps me out! But the teacher is in my direction from his perspective, so he has a reason. Maybe he just sits like that normally.

Oh, and I think Zuko from "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is really hot (literally and figuratively!). Had to put that in. Zuko'll make almost any post cool.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Read the title.

I saw it when it was first released, but rewatched and fell in love with it all over again. *sighs in ecstasy*

As I told my friend the HK-47 assassin droid:

It's a movie of a supervillain (who has his own blog) named Dr. Horrible, who has a crush on a girl at the local laundromat. He's almost made audio communication while working on his freeze ray (his goal? To stop time to find the words to tell the girl how he feels) when, in the direct aftermath of his crime, he inadvertently introduces his dream girl to his archenemy, Captain Hammer, who is the biggest, most egotistical jerk you'll ever meet but who is hailed by all as a hero. [Many] very funny parts, some heart-wrenching parts, few bad words, and a bit of sexual references for humor's sake, but a wonderful movie. Also a musical, hence the sing-along part.

One of the best movies I have ever watched. I highly recommend it- but not for young children. Not too much bad stuff in there (certainly not enough for an R rating!!!) but two or three references might make you want to cover the little ones' ears. Those parts I didn't like. But, oh, the rest was excellent!

Jerk-y or Quirky?

Yes, even I have relationship issues.

The boy (now known as "Freddy") snipes at me. I pass him in the hall and he glares at me. I was convinced that he hates me- my "advisers" say he's crushing. ?

Our first meeting was in class, where I sat down at an empty two-seat table. A random person came and sat next to me. Soon, Freddy came by and told me the seat was his. I thought him rude and crisply replied, "Well, I didn't know we had assigned seats," and moved. Soon after, a seating chart was instilled and Freddy was moved... across the aisle from me. We are now literally about 4 feet apart every class.

Freddy often snaps at me for doing regular things. "Stop doodling!" "Stop staring at me!" (when I wasn't) "I wasn't talking to you!!!" "Stop it!"

However (and this is where it gets complicated), he was talking with some friends of his, girls, (now known as Prez and Kin) when Prez, who likes to involve everybody, initiated me into the conversation. Soon, though, out of nowhere, one of them said, "'Freddy' likes you!"

Immediately Freddy started banging his head on the table and groaning as I gave Prez and Kin a level look. "Uh- HUH."

They continued to press their point and insisted that I should ask Freddy to the Sadie Hawkin's dance while Freddy moaned in agony. I gave a noncommittal and slightly creeped-out answer and turned away. I heard Freddy comment to Prez and Kin, "I wouldn't go with her anyway."

Today I was doing a diagram in my notes when Freddy ejaculated, "Stop it!"

I looked up. "Stop what?"

"Drawing!"

I looked down at the diagram and held it up. "I wasn't drawing, I was doing a diagram for Biology. See?"

Freddy, if memory holds, huffed and I went back to my work, undeterred.

Freddy's not too bad on the eyes, if you know what I mean, but I dislike him despite it. He jokes around with Prez and Kin and his other friends but seems dead serious with me.

I can't figure out if/why he hates me or if he has a killer poker face.

According to my "advisers", as stated before, "Freddy" is crushing on me and I should joke around with him instead of "hurting his feelings". It seems to me that he doesn't care much about what I think. :P

Any sensical comments?

Introduction

Okedokey. Here be my blog. Yes, yes, I know. *waves off applause* I suppose I must describe my interests, yes? *clears throat*

I'm a Christian, a vegetarian, and I fancy myself as an author. My favorite poems are "The Rainy Day" and "The Raven". I'm a big fan of Astro Boy, the movie Ratatouille, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog, the Simpsons, Jane and the Dragon, Wordgirl, American Dragon: Jake Long, and Kim Possible. If you can't tell (although I hope it's obvious), my name is a vegetarian play on Bart Simpson's famous catchphrase "Don't have a cow, man!"

As a hobby, I write Kim Possible fanfiction. http://www.fanfiction.net/~donteatacowman

I am also a member of the RonStoppable.net forums and Youtube, under the same name as here and on FF Net.

Some of my hobbies include checking out the above websites, writing, perfecting my evil laugh and world domination plots, reading, and the evil to trump evil: homework. *An unearthly scream is heard in the distance*

Sooooo....

Do you ever wonder if you're under mind control, and are only persuaded that you posses free will? I asked my female friend (Heretofore known as "Al"), and she gave me an odd look and replied in the negative. Oy vey.

Anyhoo, I guess I'm signing off for now. May post again, may be abducted by heat-seeking aliens- who knows what the future holds?
