Why didn't the Vatican just use their Youtube channel? And what is the point of the umbrella? Really? Just to hold it a foot away from the guy sopping wet with a mic in his hands? What is that cat doing? Watching the news? Why are these men ignoring this cat? And has Jimmy been living under a rock all his life? That's right, Jimmy. The Bible will only confuse you. It's not what you think. The altar boys were Flannigan's cover in his take-over-the-world plan. But don't worry; he'll be back. Those Catholics always are. Yes. The pope has complete legal authority, can execute anyone at will, is not adverse to killing any possible usurpers... Et tu, Mr. Powell? "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." "Jesus is God?" "Absolutely!" :| Make no mistake, Jesus is God, but I'd say that these guys are going to be busted by the Reasoning Police pretty soon. Aside from that, have you looked at Ceasar lately? What does this guy do at night, mad science? Wow, I actually agree with this panel. O_o What is with that cartoon devil? Why are they making Satan look like a faun that's hit the potato chips a little too hard? And isn't that the Washington Monument? ... Didn't the Western Roman Empire fall? Like, 1500 years ago? And the Eastern 500 years ago? And why are the people ignoring this giant faun that's standing right in front of them? And why is Protestantism considered annihilated? Who was making this tract, the Cardinals? Look at the Pope's eyes. LOOOOOK! They shall haunt you in the night! ♪ Every limbo boy and girl All around the limbo world Gonna do the limbo rock All around the limbo clock... ♫ And that family has issues. Really. "Bondage": "For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification." (Romans 6:19b, English Standard Version of the Bible) And his priest claims to be equal to God? I don't know what Bible they're reading, but that's blasphemy, which would win me over to Chick's point if I knew that any Catholics believed that. Feel free to correct me, please! Wait, what? He claims to be "inferior to God"? What about the last panel in which he claimed to be equal to Jesus? ...And if the guy on the cloud isn't Jesus, who do they think he is? Just look at the guy running into the cracker and tell me you wouldn't look like Anthony does not if you had to eat it. On a more serious note, I also do not believe in transubstantiation, or the idea that the wafer literally becomes Jesus' flesh. However, communion, or the breaking of bread among believers in remembrance of Christ's death, is outlined in the Bible: "Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, my body.' gave it to them, saying, of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.'" It's a little closer to the source than these tracts, I assure you. :| |
Now I shall take the time to state my own beliefs about Catholics
from what I know. Feel free to disagree, and maybe even talk
about it with me.
I think some Catholics are people relying on good works to get to
Heaven, as Chick claims. However, some so-called "Christians"
are the same; they are not truly Christians if they just pretend to
be. And I also believe that some Catholics are Christians with some
practices with which I do not agree, and I'm sure people have
debated over that a lot. I don't have any Catholics here, though,
so I guess the point of this was not to start a debate but to inflict
my mood swings on Chick.
Sorry, Jack Chick. Sorry, any offended. And thank you for reading.
Also, wonky formatting, so sorry for any weird line breaks and
small images. :P
